Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility Master Plans

Welcome
Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU, the Utility) is a Municipality of Anchorage (MOA)-owned enterprise whose core purpose is to safeguard the health and welfare of the public and the environment. Reliable infrastructure is the backbone of AWWU operations.
Planning helps AWWU be a responsible steward of ratepayer funds by identifying and planning for future improvements. AWWU updates its master plans periodically to help it operate its transmission and distribution systems effectively and efficiently. During the planning process, the Utility also identifies and prioritizes anticipated capital improvement needs over a 20-year timeframe, which helps it implement cost-effective and responsive service updates based on community needs.
